"My husband and I had our first baby this past April. Because we didn't have a lot of family or friends that could help us out, we decided to hire a postpartum doula. “I thank Sara and am so appreciative for her very patient and ongoing support of my pregnancy and the birth of our son Lucas! I was a first time and very nervous Mom and Sara provided lots of information and encouragement during the pregnancy to both my husband and me. Then during the birth she continued to be there and be calm and supportive despite one set back after another. Sara stayed overnight with us in the hospital as the labor continued to start and stop and medical intervention after medical intervention occurred. Although I ended up with an emergency C section, having Sara there was worth every penny plus some! I highly recommend having someone "on your side" who can knowingly work with the medical community to provide the best possible birth for you and your new baby.
